A big special thank you to all our brilliant customers who vote for us year after year in the LCBTA People's Choice Awards! We were finalists yet again this year, but unfortunately were not able to walk away with the Award after winning it three times in a row! Sincere congratulations to Bushies in Glengarry who took the prize this year!

I can't believe it's a year since the last Awards and here comes the roller coaster ride again! We've been so proud to have won the People's Choice Awards, cafe/dining section 3 years out of 3 and now we're trying for 4 out of 4! Admittedly it's getting scarier as each year goes by, but we're happy to leave the results in the hands of our customers. If anyone would like to vote for us or for many other excellent businesses in the Latrobe Valley, simply go to www.LCBTA.org and vote, or SMS to 0437 868 464 or phone 1800 621 409. It's a sincerely brilliant way to let your favourite cafe or retailer or community organisation etc. etc. know what you think of them. May the best business win!!!!

David R and I went to the LCBTA People's Choice Awards last night and won Best Cafe/Bakery for the third year in a row!!! Mega thanks to all our incredible people who supported us yet again by voting in droves to allow us this amazing honour! There's no adequate way to say thanks properly to everyone, but I wanted to acknowledge their support and loyalty here and hope everyone knows how much it means to us, each and every one of you.

Wow, we just got the amazing news that the cafe is a finalist in the People's Choice Awards for the third year running! Thank you sincerely to all our incredible regulars and "once in a while's" who went to the trouble to vote for us. It means more than anyone can imagine to get such incredible support from our people! Stay tuned for the 22nd May when we find out if we won "Best Cafe" for the third year running...

Just wanted to say a big, fat thank you to all of the staff at claudia's cafe who work beyond normal endurance most of the time and still smile and turn up on time and have a bit of a laugh with us! Also, to all of our customers a big, fat thank you for the choccies and cards we received, and especially to Trish at Berry Street and Kacie at Manny's for the gorgeous flowers! We really are blessed here and have had a wonderful year getting to know our community better and better. We wish everyone nothing but the best in the year ahead!

David and I were honoured to attend the Berry Street Christmas Party last night and had a blast, our table coming second in the (super hard!) trivia competition. David had made some Awards to hand out to a few lucky, lucky Berry Streeters and then there was some great fun to be had watching the brave souls who can sing doing some karaoke, including The Time Warp! But, best of all, Trish from Berry Street gave us a beautiful award saying thank you for our service throughout the year. It constantly humbles and amazes me when I'm reminded of the kindness, sincerity and generosity of people in our community. Thanks Trish & Crew!

Well, we had a fantastic night at the Gippsland Business of the Year Awards, but unfortunately didn't take home the prize. Archies on the Creek won the hospitality section and, just by taking a look at the website of Archies, what a well deserved win! Stunning, beautiful venue for anyone's wedding or Sunday lunch - I'm going to call in there soon! Credit Collect took out the big prize, Champion of Champions, and another extremely worthy winner. Maybe next year it'll be the little cafe in Morwell????!!!

Wow, today we received notification that we're finalists in this brilliant Award for the third time in the hospitality category! We're absolutely thrilled and so proud to be part of it again. Fingers crossed terribly firmly this time!

What an incredible evening we just had! My brother David and I went to the Latrobe City Business Tourism, People's Choice Awards last night and claudia's cafe won for Best Cafe! We were also up for a "Good Access is Good Business" award, but this went to another business.
We are so happy/amazed/overwhelmed/staggered to have won this Award two years in a row! We feel so blessed that people respond so strongly to what we offer at the cafe. It makes getting to work at 5.30am on massive catering days seem like "a piece of cake"! Thank you sincerely to all our people who went to the trouble of voting for us.

It's been a while since I've "put pen to paper", but only because of the fact that too much has been happening at the cafe! During the massive heavy rain, the cafe was flooded and rain gushed straight into our fusebox as well, which quite destroyed the fusebox! We had a lovely electrician come in and sort it all out for us, plus the strapping lads from the SES came to our rescue with sandbags, just in case the rain began again! We've had huge amounts of catering to keep us out of mischief and the cafe has been packed to the rafters a lot of the time. We also found a new, second hand coffee machine which has a greater capacity than our trusty two group old machine and that required a fair few late finishes to get that successfully installed - sincere thanks to our coffee tech, Ian Rothwell, for never giving up! Today, our gorgeous neighbour from the Latrobe Valley Express newspaper, Stephanie Charalambous, called in with a beautiful fragrant bunch of flowers to say her farewells as she's off to WIN News to be an on camera reporter! There were a few tears shed as we said goodbye and I was particularly moved to receive farewell flowers from one of "our people" and be told how much it meant to her to come into the cafe! Life's so, so good!
